The first job Jacob wanted to have as a child was an architect – he did a lot of reports about Frank Lloyd Wright in elementary school. And as a friend recently pointed out to him, he is an architect now: he helps build businesses.

Throughout his career, Jacob has gained broad and extensive experience in tax and business matters. He has worked at a Fortune 100 company, clerked for Judge Albert G. Lauber of the U.S. Tax Court, worked at a D.C.-based tax boutique firm, been a partner at a regional law firm, and worked in-house for a real estate development firm. He has always enjoyed problem-solving and truly getting to know his clients and colleagues.

He works with a broad range of for profit and nonprofit clients across the country on a range of corporate and tax related matters. In addition, he has served on various nonprofit boards and committees over the years.

Jacob was born and raised in Wooster, Ohio, and attended Triway High School. Following graduation, he served a two-year service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Vancouver, British Columbia. He then attended Brigham Young University, graduating with a degree in business management and an emphasis in corporate finance. He then received his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Jacob now resides with his wife and six children in Eagle, Idaho.

Outside the Office

Outside the office, Jacob enjoys spending time with his wife & kids, traveling, playing and watching sports, eating good food, and generally trying to be active. He has traveled to approximately 47 state and 16 countries so far and hopes to continue to add others to the list down the road.
